Snickers Dates

The perfect, healthy sweet treat made with Medjool dates, peanut butter, peanuts, chocolate and sea salt. Just like a Snickers, but healthier!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Freezer time 10 minutes
Servings: 20 date bites

Ingredients
  

  • 10 Medjool dates pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 2 tablespoons crushed peanuts
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 1/3 teaspoon coconut oil
  • flaky sea salt

Method
 

  1. Line a small baking sheet or platter with parchment paper. Place the date halves on the parchment.
  2. Fill each date with peanut butter, followed by crushed peanuts.
  3. Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe dish. Microwave on high in 30 second increments, stirring each time until melted.
  4. Drizzle the chocolate atop each date bite and finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  5. Place the baking sheet or platter in the freezer until the date bites are set, about 10 minutes.

Notes

Use dairy free chocolate chips if you need a dairy free treat.
