Let's Meet
Hey! I'm Jaime, plant based dietitian. I believe in the healing power of whole foods. I'm on a mission to help women take control of their health, reclaim their energy and feel confident about making choices that will support their best self. You wanna know what I get most excited about...besides the beach, juice bars and the perfect pair of jeans? YOUR success! Whatever that looks like. A healthy relationship with food, a commitment to healing yourself from the inside out, stepping outside of your comfort zone and back into the kitchen…all of it matters!
8 Elements of Living Wholly Nourished
1. nourish
Every time you eat is an opportunity to nourish your body…every single cell…so that it can carry out essential functions and help you feel and perform your best. I want you to put the best fuel into your body, while maintaining flexibility and ditching any rigid “diet” rules. Rules eventually lead to feelings of failure. Nobody has time for that. Instead fill most of your plate with veggies leaving room for a smaller portions of whole grains and a protein source. I live by the PHFFV combo…protein (P), healthy fat (HF), fiber (F) and veg (V)…which you will see me reference frequently.
2. movement
Physical activity is something that the longest living and THRIVING populations have in common. Aside from burning calories, exercise has far more benefits that range from boosting mood to increasing heart health. Set aside some time to sweat each day…a 10 minute yoga flow, an intense crossfit session, a 20-minute walk…they all count!
3. tribe
Find your people who will lift you up, make you laugh and cheer you on. In the Blue Zones it states that a social network and a family support system are two important components of the world’s happiest people. Ever heard the quote “find your tribe and love them hard?” Now’s the time to live it!
4. mindset
Ever heard of negativity bias? It’s our human nature to overemphasize the negative…and unfortunately this translates into how we see the world, others, situations, ourselves…
Take a minute and think about your internal dialogue. Are you kind to yourself? Do you put yourself down? Are you overly self-critical? Next, if you have an inner critic tell her to take a hike and replace her with an inner cheerleader. Become a professional script flipper (change the negative to the positive). Replace things like “I have to” with “I get to”. Watch your self-love/acceptance bloom. When you love yourself you will want to NOURISH yourself the way you deserve.
5. SELF-care
It’s not selfish, it’s necessary. Investing in yourself whether it be a 2-hour nap, a cup of tea and a book or a splurge at the spa does wonders for your health. It’s a way to press the RESET button in this busy, stressful life and make YOU and your health a priority.
6. sleep
Log at least 7 hours per night. Dive even further and create a nighttime ritual to achieve the best sleep ever. Logging enough sleep brings your best self forward.
7. hydrate
Log at least 7 hours per night. Dive even further and create a nighttime ritual to achieve the best sleep ever. Logging enough sleep brings your best self forward.
8. have fun
Laugh, play, paint, cook, travel…whatever brings you joy… do more of that!!!
“…reshape your life so that you’re constantly being nudged into well-being.”
